This was a moment in time that I will always cherish. 5 o'clock in the morning I was on a photo shoot in Gibson's Landing just down from Molly's Reach. The sun was rising shedding its orange and rose coloured light throughout the marina. I had been following the heron watching him patiently waiting for breakfast to come swimming by. I was mesmerized by him and then... the movement. A giant step looking like he was in a ballet performance. Got it...had to paint it. To be honest I painted this twice...once in pastels and then mixed media. The pastel has one some awards and this one just been entered into competition.
