Walking along a pier I happened to come across the boat quietly waiting for someone to take it out. It was so quiet and still and the graphics of the rail played with the boat while it was waiting. Looking around at some of the large boats this one was small, and unassuming and yet was so powerful. Sometimes you see a scene you know you have to paint and this was one of those. Then a month after this picture was taken we were placed in lock down for Covid 19 and this picture spoke of the isolation that took place and I painted this in isolation.
