Going to Federation Of Canadian Artists Mixed Media Show

Oh my goodness! I could talk and talk about this picture. I was on a plein air workshop and had settled down and did a painting of water rushing around a log totally enthralled by the colours and movement when I turned and saw that I was sitting beside this incredible tree with a twisted gnarly root system. I had but half hour left so I tried to capture it in a half hour. Needless to say it ended up a studio piece. I have done it in Pastels as well.
