Horses are so close to my heart. I watch them and I see the trust that there is between a pair and I can see that yes sometimes I just want to be left alone. It never ceases to amaze me how a herd are much like us. Cranky ones, ones that just want to be your friend, and all that is in between. This painting I wanted to do large because I wanted to show power between the two and yet compassion. One of my favourites to be sure!
